On this page, I present to you cut/pasted the reviews that have been accumulating on TheKnot for you to check out. These reviews came from brides, grooms and those that were in some way, a part of their wedding events. They are not made up. They are real comments from real people that hired my DJ services. Stop your search for a DJ!

FIVE STARS-
At first my husband and I weren't going to have a DJ but hiring Scott was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding!! I could write a book and still not say enough good things about him! We had been to several other weddings where no one could hear the ceremony or the DJs were obnoxious so we were a little hesitant at first. We let Scott know our concerns and he worked with us on all aspects of our ceremony and reception to make sure he was doing what we wanted. He was AMAZING! Our outdoor ceremony was perfectly miked, everything could be heard and the music was perfect! The reception was EVEN better. He was able to find a pretty obscure song that my husband and I love in a matter of minutes to play during our cake cutting. He did a wonderful job playing a mix of songs that were really important to us but also ones that kept everyone on the dance floor. Our wedding went amazing and Scott played a HUGE role in that. We could not have been happier with the service he provided! Stop your search, Scott is absolutely who you should have for you wedding, you will not be disappointed!

Scott did an amazing job at our wedding July 21st, 2017 at the Felt Estate. The day would not have been a success without him. He collaborated with our guitarist, the venue, the caterer, and made sure that everything went smoothly the whole day and night. I highly recommend his services. Added bonus of candid photos and videos that are so much fun to watch and that I will cherish for a lifetime. Hire Scott!!!

FIVE STARS-
Scott Ptak with PTAK Entertainment was hands down the best DJ we could have chosen for our wedding. From set-up/tear down (photo booth included), party entrances, speeches/toasts, in/out of dinner and bringing everyone to the dance floor, Scott made our wedding day flow seamlessly. Taking the nerves out of our hands and taking control, Scott was by far the best DJ I have ever seen at a wedding (and not bias due to our wedding). I would choose Scott 100% over and over again.

Scott Ptak with PTAK Entertainment was hands down the best DJ we could have chosen for our wedding. FIVE STARS-
My daughter selected Scott after talking to a number of DJ's. He did an amazing job. Scott is a "master of ceremonies" and a DJ. He kicked of the evening with an energetic welcome that set the tone for the whole night. Plenty of great music, everyone was dancing!! During the last song of the evening, the bride and groom were in the center of the dance floor, and all the guests were arm-in-arm circled around them, swaying back and forth loudly signing the lyrics of the song. My daughter was overcome with emotion, as were several of the guests. Great Job!! Very highly recommended!!

He walked through our reception with us and made time to understand exactly what we wanted. He is extremely detail-oriented and cares about your wedding as if it were his own! Our dance floor was packed from beginning to the very end of the night. Scott even took a TON of awesome candid pictures and videos which he gave us after our wedding. We had so much fun going through them.
We also used Scott's photobooth which our guests had a BLAST with. He coordinated the background to match our wedding colors and sent us all of the photo booth pictures! We could not have been more pleased with Scott's performance.

Scott was amazing to work with! He did such an excellent job meeting with us before the wedding and making sure that we were at ease with everything. He did music for us at our ceremony outside as well as at our reception and it turned out better than I could have imagined. He kept the dance floor packed all night and knew when to stop a song and play another if needed. I would highly recommend Ptak Entertainment for you DJ services, he does such an awesome job and really gets into the fine details so that nothing is missed! We loved working with him!

Scott was so great, personable and funny! He did a great job keeping our guests entertained and when it came to the music he had all the latest hits. Seriously the dance floor was FULL all night. People still tell me what a great time they had. We were so lucky to find him. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!

FIVE STARS-
Scott did an AMAZING job! Right from the beginning I knew he was going to a perfect fit for our wedding. He listened to all my thoughts and worries, he met with us multiple times before the wedding to make sure everything was just as we wanted it and he really put a lot of effort into making the music for the night perfect! Our guests were constantly on the dance floor getting their dance on and their was never a dull moment. He did a fantastic job gauging what music to play so that our party wouldn't end. And for our last dance of the evening he suggested the circle dance and it was the absolute perfect ending to an already perfect day.

Dance Party Wedding In Cancun Mexico

We contracted with PTAK Entertainment to DJ our destination wedding in Cancun. We met with Scott once prior to leaving to go over what we had in mind and he took care of the rest. He is very professional and accommodating. He has done many weddings and it shows. He was well prepared and even brought some of his own equipment to ensure there were no issues once we were in Mexico. He provided music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The day of the wedding we did not have to worry about anything. Scott made sure everything was running smoothly. Once the dancing began, the party never stopped. We wanted a rocking dance party on the beach in Mexico and that is what we had. Scott was in tune to what people were feeling and helped keep people on the dance floor with his music and lights. Lot's of people say they are glad their wedding is finally over, not us. We would do it again every year. If you want an amazing wedding hire PTAK Entertainment. If you want the best wedding you will ever go to, hire PTAK Entertainment and have your wedding in Mexico!

Scott was great. He is very personable. He was easy to communicate with prior to our wedding. FIVE STARS-
Scott is far and away the best DJ I have ever encountered or used. We have all been at those unfortunate occasions where the DJ was clueless as to what the crowd was feeling and reacting to. Scott "read" the crowd perfectly and had EVERYONE out on the dance floor for hours and we had quite an eclectic mix as I'm sure most weddings do. We heard from many guests later who went out of their way to tell us how much they enjoyed Scott and the reception. Of course, we think our reception was the party of the century, but I think quite a few others thought so too, and Scott was integral to that. WE could not recommend him higher and would use him every time.

FIVE STARS-
At the time, when my fiance and I were using The Knot to contact potential DJs for our event, Scott Ptak was very quick to respond to our inquiry. Scott's promptness followed him all the way through to the end of our incredible reception night. Because we lived out of state, but planned to hold our marriage in Grand Rapids, we were concerned that planning such an event would have many hurdles - especially with the DJ. Scott assured us that everything would be fine and that working with couples out of state is something he regularly does with an exceptional success rate. He was right! Scott's attention to details and timing put us at ease. He provided us with a comprehensive event planner to fill out. From that, he created an itinerary that rivaled that of my wedding planner's. In fact, he made her job even easier with his sense of wedding event understanding. On the day of our wedding, Scott handled the music for our ceremony with perfect timing and even provided our officiant with a lapel mic which made his job easier and allowed our videographer able to record everything he said. It wasn't until got into our reception, did we realize how fortunate we were to have Scott not only run the entertainment aspect, but Host the event with announcements, and doing things like giving directions on how to do things like install a wedding picture app so our guests could take pictures of our event to share. Scott was professional, courteous, well spoken, funny, well dressed and prepared. He didn't miss a beat. He even memorized our parents names and most of the bridal party. When the dancing began, guests that we would have never thought would hit the dance floor did. The energy on the dance floor all evening blew us away! Before we decided to chose Scott for our event, he told us that he provides more dance lights than most DJs. Now we know what he meant. The dance floor seemed more like a disco. It was fantastic! We got, and continue to get, comments from family members and our guests suggesting they have never been to a reception with so much good music and so much fun. Just before end of the evening, Scott recommended that my husband and I participate in a Circle dance where we do a slow dance in the middle of the dance floor and our guest surround us in a big circle dancing to the song Piano Man. It was by far the most memorable moment of the night. Afterward Scott presented us with a video he took of it on his cell phone, something we will always cherish. One last comment regarding Scott's professionalism and preparedness. It wasn't until the end of night when we were saying our goodbyes, that Scott admitted that one of his speakers had gone bad half way through the evening. Apparently, in between songs, he managed bring in a backup speaker as a replacement. Nobody even noticed. For that reason and many others, is why we feel so fortunate to have had Scott as our DJ. Thank you again Scott!

Scott with PTAK Entertainment was wonderful to work with and I'd describe him in one word as Reliable. He was diligent in his prep work, and we were extremely happy with his work at the wedding itself. For those planning a wedding, you'll know that there are a lot of things that have to come together in a short period of time. When it came to the day of the wedding, Scott was simply someone that I didn't have to worry about. He was there on time, worked in short order in a location change due to weather, and was calm and collected as he executed flawlessly. In hindsight, I really can't tell you how important it was to have a reliable DJ that gained our trust and we didn't have to worry about. Sit down with Scott when you are looking for DJ's, I trust that he will win your trust and allow you to move on to the rest of your planning knowing that the music and entertainment side is handled.

Great sound quality and lighting. does his own set up and works well with the reception location staff. Thorough checklist for the bride and groom to fill out prior to reception to make sure the event flows flawlessly. Came from out of town no problem (over an hour drive and during the holidays!). He had every generation on the dance floor the whole night long. So many friends told us our wedding was the best they have been to. One of my friends did not know many people there, is shy, and doesn't normally feel comfortable dancing in those sort of situations and she said she had so much fun dancing and didn't want the night to end. Because everyone was having so much fun, we extended the night for an extra half hour. he was willing to stay late and kept the party going even while he started packing up and the event staff of the location had the lights on and were tearing down. We highly recommend Ptak entertainment! Our wedding would not have been the same without Scott behind the mic.

FIVE STARS-
I have used Scott several times in my business as an event planner. When my first child set his wedding date, I knew we had to book Scott. He met with them to understand and get a feel for how they wanted their reception to feel and sound. They did have requests and with Scott's experience he made additional suggestions that fit! He is also a very good presenter and was able to command the crowd in a gentle way because they wanted to hear what he had to say. We felt we got a master of ceremony as well as a DJ. He dresses professionally and conducts himself professionally. I can't say enough positive!

FIVE STARS-
I have used Scott several times in my business as an event planner. When my first child set his wedding date, I knew we had to book Scott. He met with them to understand and get a feel for how they wanted their reception to feel and sound. They did have requests and with Scott's experience he made additional suggestions that fit! He is also a very good presenter and was able to command the crowd in a gentle way because they wanted to hear what he had to say. We felt we got a master of ceremony as well as a DJ. He dresses professionally and conducts himself professionally. I can't say enough positive!

My sons wedding evening was very energetic & fun thanks to our wonderful DJ. He touched base with us from start to finish to make sure all bases were covered such as timeline, how names were pronounced, getting the crowd revved up & keeping the crowd engaged. FIVE STARS-
My sons wedding evening was very energetic & fun thanks to our wonderful DJ. He touched base with us from start to finish to make sure all bases were covered such as timeline, how names were pronounced, getting the crowd revved up & keeping the crowd engaged. His lighting system was fantastic. The bride & groom & all involved were glad we chose Scott as our DJ!

I was asked to post on here after sending a follow up email to Scott thanking him for the best party ever! I want to copy exactly what I told him, just to how I really felt. "I wanted to thank you for doing such an amazing job at the wedding! We had the best time ever! I have heard countless times from my family and our guests how it was the best wedding/party they'd ever been to. No one could help but notice the dance floor was full the entire night. I'm sure we're biased, but I can't ever remember being to a wedding with such great participation on the dance floor. That is the coolest thing ever. I just can't get over it, even a week later. I love to dance, as you might have noticed, and all our guests like to drink, so that helps, but I think the biggest contributor to the party was you. That being said, I can't thank you enough!! We appreciate everything you did." But now that I have a different audience, there are a few things I want to add. Scott is amazing through out the entire process. He met with a us a few times while planning. He made sure he got a good idea of who we are and customized his services to meet our needs. He is so organized and goes above and beyond the services one would think are included with a DJ. He helped us plan our entire reception, giving us tons of options on different ways to do things so we ended up with a party that was all us with every detailed outlined in advance. He does his research on all your other vendors and your venue, even made sure he knew who all the parents were. He has tons of resources and added services available, though we didn't need many of them. And our party was amazing! Everyone had a great time, distant family I've never heard talk and grandmothers I didn't know could walk were shaking their thing the whole time! It really was something special. My sister is getting married this summer, and was sold on Scott's services as well. Our wedding was just last week, so I'm emotional and rambling over how great everything was. But my sister is also getting married this year and she was so impressed that she is planning on working with Scott as well. I promise he will not disappoint you!

PTAK Entertainment was great to work with! Scott was excellent at communicating with my husband and myself ahead of time to ensure the details of our big day were all taken care of. Scott chose tasteful cocktail hour and dinner music and then kept the fun going so that the dance floor was never empty! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the entire evening. Based on the professional job done, I have close friends and family who have now used and will be using PTAK Entertainment for their own weddings. I would highly recommend!

Scott was great to work with! As a bride who planned her own wedding, I appreciated all the help I could get during the planning stages. :) Scott paid attention to detail, providing his input from his previous experience, as well as listened to my ideas on what I envisioned for my big day. Space was limited at my venue, where I had events taking place both indoors and outdoors. Scott was able to determine where to setup so the sound was clearly projected from the outdoor events to those who stayed inside. Most importantly, my guests danced all night and constantly raved about how good the music was! Scott was willing to accommodate song requests. I would highly recommend PTAK Entertainment. Scott is one of the most responsive vendors I dealt with too!

My wife and I had a great experience with Scott as our wedding DJ. Scott did an awesome job at our wedding but also provided many helpful suggestions for the reception itself & helped plan the sequence of events (the things you suddenly go "Oh yea we have to do that don't we")- he provided colored light for under our cake table that was a very nice touch. Thanks Scott ; I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services to anyone for wedding or other events requiring a professional DJ.
