Q: I'm booking my event with you. Will you be the DJ too?
A: Yes...always. I do not hire out to other DJ's. Why? Because I have a difficult time believing that someone else will do as good a job as I.
Q: Your prices are higher that some of the other DJ's I contacted. Why?
A: My rates are such that you can expect complete and total success of your event. You are not only hiring a DJ that is going to provide fantastic musical and lighting entertainment, but also an accomplished speaker and Emcee who will carry out the proper timing and wording for introductions, toasts, and many other situations that call for speaking skills. I invest no less than 3-4 hours prior to any event in preparation of honing in on the details. It is critical that I have all the necessary music and detailed information about every event I participate in to make sure that nothing gets overlooked and that I can assist in managing the event in case timing gets thrown off course. Your event will have access to professional sound and lighting equipment and an extensive library of music that is both edited and non-edited depending on the event type. Setup and tear down of equipment is not charged separately from the whole of the event. Some DJ's charge for this.
Q: Can we come an see you DJ at an actual event?
A: I understand your desire to see me in action before you hire my services. I am torn with providing you with the ability to do so and respecting the wishes of my customers. I will allow, with the permission of my customers, the chance to attend an event I am hosting. I would permit only one couple per event to arrive at a predetermined time and allow you to view my performance for no more than a 30 minute duration to respect the wishes of my customers. Q: Would you consider meeting with me (us) to go over the details of our event? And will you share some ideas?
A: I encourage one-on-one meetings and in fact prefer it. Sometimes it is not possible due to logistics. When booking with me, your event includes a comprehensive face-to-face consultation in which we discuss and plan out your entire event. What can't be covered within that time frame will be via phone or email at a later date to properly cover the information and details of your event. I am always happy to share my experience with you to help your cause. I could easily qualify as a wedding reception or event planner, but prefer to keep to DJing and Hosting events. There is no event related question I can't field.
Q: Is it too difficult to plan our wedding since we live out of the state, but are getting married in Michigan?
A: Absolutely not! I have successfully managed many weddings and never met the actual bride and groom until the day of their wedding. Emails and phone service makes it very easy to arrange all the planning and details. And with my detailed event itineraries, if makes the planning process so convenient and simple.
Q: One DJ said that he would perform our event for less. Would you match the pricing?
A: Unfortunately I cannot deviate from my stated price. I know there are DJ's charging less, but don't feel it is fair to those customers who have paid my set fees for the same service. I believe that my combination of experience and dedicated personal service and commitment to your event makes my service an above excellent value.
